f99.eu is the name of my web design and web development company.
I have been involved with “The Web” since the mid nineties when it first made it big. I started as a designer and specialised in illustrative works for the web. Back then images had to be refined in order not to take up too much bandwidth. These days it’s not a problem.
I moved into front end design and gradually acquired skill moving backwards until I hit the server and stopped there. Now I work in all areas from front end HTML and design back to server side scripting.
Over the years I have worked on hundreds of sites from the very small to the very large and overseen teams as well as worked solo.
I have made games in Flash such as one for the high street banks which was used to promote topping up mobile phones via ATM machines.
I created the first ever SMS based e-commerce system in the world. Another company said they had done so but the big difference was that ours worked!
I created the very first online DVD rental system in the UK. The system went on to be used by a major brand.
I have designed and created e-commerce stores, blogs, content management systems, news portals and more.
Graphics I have created are used on thousands of websites worldwide including Adobe.com
Outside of the web…
I have hosted a TV show.
I have sold over 1500 of my own paintings and made a lot of money for a few years, then got bored.
I met Tom Baker in a shop (showing my age?).
I have illustrated four published children’s books.
I was once declared the Leader of Man in a massively multiplayer online role-playing game.
I created a massively multiplayer online role-playing. Made some money. Then got bored.
I am currently writing a novel about a pirate.
I read too much (Bernard Cornwell, Terry Pratchett and others).
I lived in Sweden for twelve years. I am buddies with Jonas Birgerson (apparently he is famous in Sweden so I will drop his name just in case any Swedes pop by).
I was once an extra in a movie (they cut me out).
My wife told me to say that I have travelled - It sounds good. I have travelled but I would like to do more.
